Polkadot launches JAM course to empower web3 developers

Polkadot Blockchain Academy is looking to empower the next wave of web3 developers via a new educational program targeted at the Polkadot ecosystem.

The Polkadot Blockchain Academy announced this goal via the launch of The JAM Course, an initiative aimed at bringing top technical talent to the Polkadot (DOT) ecosystem. The JAM Course will offer a practical program, with developers getting access to the core components of the layer 0 blockchain.

According to PBA, JAM is a follow up initiative to the platform’s PBA Campus and JAM Tour,

“JAM represents the next frontier for Polkadot, and this course is a gateway for developers eager to explore its transformative potential,” Polkadot Blockchain Academy chief executive officer Pauline Cohen Vorms said. “Through this program, participants will not only gain technical expertise but also a deeper understanding of how Polkadot is driving the future of blockchain interoperability.”

Notable figures set to impart their knowledge and expertise at the course will be Polkadot founder Gavin Wood.

Developers participating in the initiative will have an opportunity to explore web3 capabilities via the DOT network, Vorms added.

Join-Accumulate Machine, or JAM, is Polkadot’s dedicated course, with key aspects including technology and applications. It combines advanced tutorials, practicals and Q&A sessions. Participants get to explore what’s possible with blockchain innovation.

Some of the major support areas for JAM participants will be Solidity smart contracts, permissionless code execution and rollups. The program provides for a flexible environment allowing developers to build appchains or smart contracts.

Access to this in-person course will open when PBA launches it in December 2025. The platform says interested individuals who register will receive application updates.
