IOTA users are set to benefit from powerful on-chain analytics following the distributed ledger technology platform’s latest integration.
On Feb. 19, blockchain analytics provider Nansen announced it had integrated with IOTA (IOTA)’s Ethereum Virtual Machine-compatible layer, IOTA EVM. This major development will allow IOTA ecosystem users to tap into advanced on-chain analytics, including the Nansen Query and IOTA Growth Dashboard.
According to a press release shared with crypto.news, Nansen and IOTA plan to expand their partnership to introduce additional features, including Nansen Profiler and Token God Mode.
However, the phased rollout will begin with the Query and Dashboard. IOTA EVM joins other platforms, including Stellar, TON, and Scroll, in integrating Nansen to enhance blockchain analytics.
The integration provides users across the DLT network’s ecosystem with access to real-time data tracking, enabling them to leverage actionable insights for decision-making. Investors, developers, and broader ecosystem users can utilize the IOTA Growth Dashboard to access on-chain metrics such as active addresses and transaction volume.
“As we continue to expand our analytics capabilities across major blockchain ecosystems, integrating with IOTA is a natural next step,” Nansen chief executive officer Alex Svanevik said.
IOTA launched its EVM-compatible smart contract layer-2 chain in June 2024. This milestone accelerated the network’s traction in decentralized finance and web3, bolstered by integrations with leading interoperability platforms LayerZero, Stargate, and Pyth Network.
According to DeFiLlama data, IOTA EVM saw the total value locked in protocols such as lending, derivatives, and decentralized exchanges rose to over $95 million in early December. While TVL has since declined to around $46 million, integrations like the one with Nansen could help spur fresh growth.
Dominik Schiener, co-founder of IOTA, stated that the collaboration provides the community and builders with a platform to access valuable insights. The integration of IOTA EVM and Nansen will enable users not only to make “data-driven decisions” but also to leverage analytics tools to track growth and refine strategies, Schiener added.
