Solidity Storage Array Bug Announcement This blog post is about two bugs connected to storage arrays which are otherwise unrelated. Both have been present in the compiler for a long time and have only been discovered now even though a contract containing them should very likely show malfunctions in tests. Daenam Kim with help from Nguyen Pham, both from Curvegrid discovered an issue where invalid data is stored in connection with arrays of signed integers. This bug has been present since Solidity 0.4.7 and we consider it the more serious of the two. If these arrays use negative integers in…
After many months of silence, we’re proud to announce the v1.9.0 release of Go Ethereum! Although this release has been in the making for a lot longer than we anticipated, we’re confident there will be some juicy feature for everyone to enjoy! Warning: We’ve tried our best to squash all the bugs, but as with all major releases, we advise everyone to take extra care when upgrading. The v1.9.0 release contains database schema changes, meaning it’s not possible to downgrade once updated. We also recommend a fresh fast sync as it can drastically reduce the database size. Some of the…
By now, we hope you’ve heard the news: In just two days, on July 17, 2019, the first wave of general Devcon tickets will go online at 6:00am PT / 9:00am ET / 3:00pm CEST / 10:00pm JST. Today, we wanted to bring everyone a few details on the ticketing process in advance of Wednesday’s launch. As always, we’re working to ensure everyone has a fair chance to attend Devcon, so ticket purchases are limited to 2 per order, and passes cannot be bulk-reserved. Further, we’ve maintained our limit of 20 tickets per organization to help as many teams as…
各位, With well under three months to go until Devcon, we are moving at full speed toward Osaka! You’ll hear about first programming details and more in the coming days, and with ticket sales now underway, we thought it time for a more formal update! First, Wave 2 of ticket sales are tentatively scheduled to take place on August 6th. We’ve learned and patched a lot following the last round. We used a new, open source ticketing platform this year, and while the platform itself performed admirably, we didn’t get everything right on our configurations for the first production run.…

First, save the date: Wave 3 of Devcon ticket sales will take place on Thursday, the 15th of August at 6:00am PT / 9:00am ET / 3:00pm CEST / 10:00pm JST at Devcon.org! Following the completion of this wave, there will be a few other methods available for claiming passes. Addressing ticket demand, it is important to note (as mentioned previously) that more than…

Today, we are thrilled to launch our first full translation: a Korean version of the website, available now at ethereum.org/ko. In the coming weeks, our program will expand with an…

We have committed 100 tickets to the raffle and 50 to the auction this year, and we plan to extend the availability of on-chain ticketing options next year. The raffle will begin at 5:00pm GMT on August 22. The link to both…
