PERPTools has raised $8 million across two token funding rounds after its perpetual trading platform recorded $240 million in volume during private beta testing.
Summary
- PERPTools raised $8 million across two rounds backed by DEXTools Ventures, Orderly Network, NEAR, Animoca Brands and other investors.
- The platform has recorded $240 million in private beta trading volume and already operates a perpetual DEX, AI trading marketplace and prediction product.
- PERPTools plans a token generation event in Q4 2026 as it expands trading execution within the DEXTools ecosystem.
According to an announcement shared with crypto.news, the team behind DEXTools raised $3 million in a pre seed round at a $30 million fully diluted valuation before securing another $5 million at an $80 million valuation.
DEXTools Ventures and Orderly Network led the first round, which closed in December 2025 after fundraising began a month earlier. BigBrain Holdings, NEAR, Animoca Brands, Sfermion and Shima Capital joined the seed round in early 2026.
PERPTools is building a decentralized perpetual futures platform that combines an exchange with autonomous AI trading agents and prediction markets. Its infrastructure uses Orderly Network’s liquidity layer, while its connection with DEXTools gives the project access to an existing trading analytics platform used by millions of traders.
CEO Evgen Tokarev said the team built its execution layer around the roughly 30 million traders already using DEXTools, allowing users to move from finding a market to placing a trade without leaving the wider ecosystem.
“By embedding directly into the analytics platform and plugging into Orderly’s omnichain engine, we solved the cold start problem before we even launched,” Tokarev said. “$240 million in beta volume proves that when you remove the friction between discovery and execution, traders receive the best experience possible.”
PERPTools funding brings DEXTools and Orderly together
PERPTools said the two funding rounds were structured around investors that could provide more than capital.
DEXTools brought its existing trading platform and user base into the project, while Orderly provides the underlying liquidity infrastructure used for perpetual trades. Investors joining the seed round have portfolios spanning consumer crypto products and the creator economy, according to the company.
Orderly uses an omnichain order book model that shares liquidity across supported networks. Traders can access markets from different chains without manually bridging assets between networks, while orders are routed through a common liquidity layer.
Orderly CEO and co founder Ran Yi said PERPTools represented the type of trading application the network’s liquidity infrastructure was designed to support because it enters the market with an existing user base.
The partnership has roots predating the new platform. As crypto.news previously reported, Orderly worked with Google Cloud on AI trading agents in September 2024 through a developer program focused on autonomous systems capable of executing trades using its liquidity layer.
PERPTools now applies a similar agent model directly to a live perpetual exchange.
Frederic Fernández, co founder and CMO of DEXTools, said users had been asking for the ability to execute trades directly alongside the analytics and token discovery tools they already use.
“PERPTools is the natural next chapter, where the trade itself happens without ever leaving,” Fernández said.
AI agents can trade directly on the PERPTools DEX
Three products are already live before the project’s planned token generation event.
Its main Perp DEX lets users take long and short positions with leverage and cross margin while retaining non custodial access to their funds. Trades settle through Orderly’s central limit order book infrastructure.
AI Arena adds autonomous trading agents to the same liquidity environment. Users can create an agent in roughly five minutes by selecting a risk profile, setting leverage limits and describing a trading strategy using natural language.
Once configured, the agents can trade continuously. Other users can deposit USDC into an agent, while performance rankings are calculated using verified 30 day onchain profit and loss data.
Agent based trading has become a more common part of crypto infrastructure during 2026. MetaMask, for example, introduced its Agent Wallet in June, allowing autonomous agents to perform swaps, perpetual trades and other transactions within controls set by users.
PERPTools takes a different product approach by putting the agent marketplace and the exchange in the same trading environment. The company said users decide the risk and leverage limits before an agent begins trading.
Tokarev, who previously worked on trading infrastructure at DEXTools, leads the project alongside CTO Denys Hrechko, formerly of Everstake, and CMO Wael Rajab, who serves as CEO of DEXTools Ventures.
Perpetual DEX activity gives PERPTools a growing market
PERPTools is entering a derivatives market where decentralized exchanges have taken a larger share of trading activity.
CoinGecko data published in May showed the share of perpetual futures open interest held on decentralized exchanges had climbed from 3.6% at the beginning of 2025 to 13.5% in early 2026. Top perp DEX open interest rose from $1.19 billion at the start of 2024 to $14.99 billion by the end of January 2026.
The perp DEX open interest growth came while centralized exchanges remained the largest venues for perpetual futures. Binance accounted for 33% of the global market during the first four months of 2026, with OKX holding another 15%, according to CoinGecko.
Activity has continued across newer categories of decentralized derivatives. RWA perpetual DEXs recorded $365 billion in volume during the third quarter of 2026, with public equities accounting for roughly $175 billion of the total.
PERPTools said decentralized perpetual exchanges currently process more than $10 billion in daily volume.
Its third live product, Tap Prediction, uses live perpetual price feeds for short term prediction markets. Traders choose a cell on a price grid and can enter positions from $0.10, with potential payouts reaching 25 times the stake. According to the company, the product has a prize pool of more than $1 million and is generating revenue before the token launch.
PERPTools is preparing for a Q4 token launch
With both funding rounds completed, PERPTools is now working toward a token generation event scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026.
The company has not disclosed a specific TGE date in the announcement.
PERPTools said the token launch will follow the rollout of its three existing products, meaning its perpetual exchange, AI Arena and prediction market are already operating on mainnet before the token enters circulation.
The project plans to continue integrating trading execution into the DEXTools ecosystem while using Orderly for liquidity and settlement.
PERPTools said its private beta has generated $240 million in trading volume so far, with the platform remaining live as preparations for the token generation event continue.
